Three people from the same family died of asphyxiation due to a gas leak

Three people from the same family perished on Monday in their apartment located in the Yaacoub El Mansour district in Rabat, asphyxiated by gas fumes coming from a water heater.

The bodies of the victims, a couple and their 5-year-old child, were discovered by family members and neighbours who alerted the police, reports the television channel Al Oula in its midday news.

The tragedy is believed to be due to negligence, lack of maintenance of the appliance, and lack of ventilation, according to the same source.
