His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, TRH Princesses Lalla Salma, Lalla Meryem and Lalla Hasnaa, and HH Prince Moulay Ismail, presided on Saturday at the Royal School in the Royal Palace of Rabat over the 2012-2013 school year-end ceremony. The ceremony, which took place in the presence of Their Highnesses the Princes and Princesses, began with verses from the Holy Quran recited by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan. HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan then delivered a speech before the Sovereign, in which he expressed, on his own behalf and on behalf of his sister HRH Princess Lalla Khadija and all their classmates, his great honour and immense joy for the benevolence and high solicitude with which H.M. the King has been pleased to surround this ceremony. "We celebrate through this ceremony the end of the 5th year of primary school (CM2) after having successfully passed the exams that will allow us to access a higher level," said HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, noting that this result is the fruit of laborious work and firm determination. "We have learned, Majesty, that wisdom, all wisdom, resides in will and perseverance, following in this your continuous action in the service of the homeland and the faithful Moroccan people, and that our success is the fruit that would not have reached maturity without your high solicitude, through your meticulous monitoring and your wise guidance," stressed HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan. His Royal Highness prayed to the Almighty to grant health and long life to H.M. the King and to shower the Sovereign with all the members of the Illustrious Royal Family. Subsequently, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Princess Lalla Khadija and their classmates performed songs and artistic presentations in Arabic, French, Spanish and English. The director of the School, Aziz El Houcine, then delivered a speech before H.M. the King in which he expressed, on his own behalf and on behalf of all the staff of the Royal School, the marks of great pride and joy for the High solicitude with which the Sovereign has surrounded this ceremony. He indicated that the transition of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan to the 6th year constitutes the starting point of a new stage in the school career of His Royal Highness. Aziz El Houcine also expressed, on behalf of the entire teaching staff, his warm congratulations to H.M. the King for the excellent results obtained by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Princess Lalla Khadija during the 2012-2013 school year. On the same occasion, H.M. the King, may God assist Him, presented the Excellence and Royal School Prizes to HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan. The Sovereign also presented the Congratulations Prize to student Mohamed Belmansour, the Encouragement Prize to Soufiane Choukraoui, the Honour Prize to Moulay Amine Tazi and Lamine Ait Idda, and the Progress Prize to Mohamed Yachou. His Majesty the King then presented the Excellence Prize to HRH Princess Lalla Khadija, the Congratulations Prize to Marwa Abousfiane, Lilia Meziane, Hiba-Amal Waled, as well as the Progress Prize to Nisrine Saber. The Head of Government, Abdelilah Benkirane, and the Minister of National Education, Mohamed El Ouafa, took part in this ceremony.
